Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win met Ms Nadia Khoury, Head of Delegation of the IFRC (International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies) in Myanmar, and Dr Myo Nyunt, President of the Myanmar Red Cross Society, at the Ministry’s temporary office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.

During the meeting, both sides discussed medical support for Mandalay earthquake victims through joint efforts by local and international medical teams, the ongoing care provided by the Ministry of Health, and further collaboration between the Myanmar Red Cross Society and IFRC on rehabilitation efforts, including the installation of mobile water purifiers, temporary shelters, sanitation facilities, and the provision of prosthetic limbs in affected areas such as Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay, Sagaing, and Inlay.
