ACTOR Khant Si Thu and his family, along with fellow artistes donated a vehicle to be used at the Dhamma Vihara Buddhism Learning Centre and Meditation Centre in Thingangyun Township, Yangon Region, on 17 April.

“We provided meals for 550 monks, nuns and Yogi (Vipassana Students) staying at the Centre and also donated a car worth K40 million to assist the resident monks with transportation during examination periods,” Khant Si Thu said.

The merit-making ceremony saw other artistes such as Thuta Aung, Han Htoo Zan, Saung Eaindray Htun, Akari Susan and Academy Aung Khine, who joined the family in taking part in the religious activities. They also donated K20 million to the Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital (1,000-bed) on 16 April to support emergency medical treatment for patients with physical injuries.
