TATMADAW carried out the third day of its ninth liver transplant procedure yesterday at the Special Treatment Centre of the Defence Services General Hospital (1,000-bed) in Mingaladon Township. The procedure involved transplanting a liver from donor Ko Linn Htet Aung to recipient U Kyaw Zaw Aung.
Liver extraction from the donor began at 8:30 am, and the transplant to the recipient was started around 3:30 pm, taking approximately nine hours in total. Both the donor and the recipient are reported to be in stable condition and are receiving continued care in the intensive care unit from experienced specialists, doctors and nurses.

All the patients and liver donors who underwent liver transplants on previous days are in good health following the procedures.
