AS of 27 April, six regions and states affected by the Mandalay earthquake reported 3,769 fatalities, 5,106 injuries, and 107 missing persons.
Search and rescue teams from the Myanmar Fire Brigade, alongside domestic and international responders, have been conducting rescue missions in the affected areas. These efforts have successfully rescued 653 survivors trapped under collapsed buildings and recovered the bodies of 777 deceased individuals.
Local donors have provided financial support and essential supplies to those affected, while international communities, organizations, and individual contributors have extended additional assistance. Between 8:10 pm on 26 April and 5 pm on 27 April, mosquito nets and bed sheets weighing 7.689 tonnes donated by China, household goods weighing at 0.971 tonne donated by the Myanmar-Chinese Taipei Traders Association, and kitchen goods, buckets, tarpaulin sheets and solar lights weighing 80.168 tonnes provided by UNHCR arrived at Yangon International Airport.
These relief supplies are being distributed swiftly to earthquake victims to ensure timely support.
