A combined team comprising members of the Drug Enforcement Division of Myanmar Police Force searched a Harrier driven by Thet Naing (aka) Ko Hnget, accompanied by Kyaw Khaing Linn (aka) Moe Di, near Thingangyungyi Village in Thingangyungyi Village-tract, Mingaladon Township, at 1 pm on 23 April. The police seized 350,000 stimulant tablets worth K350 million. A 6-wheel Canter Isuzu, that carrying those tablets from Yadashe Township, was seized in Chitteegon Ward in Mingaladon Township on 24 April. Acting on a tip-of, at 6:30 pm on 24 April, the police further arrested Nay Lin Tun who forced the above-two to carry the tablets at 158th-mile checkpoint on Yangon-Mandalay Expressway.
Additionally, the police searched Aung Aung in Macaokham Ward, Tachilek, and seized 10,000 stimulant tablets worth K7 million at local price at 8 am on 26 April. Tin Min Ko (aka) Pyone Cho, who was selling those tablets, was further arrested in Phontun Ward, Tachilek at 8:20 am on that day. According to the investigation, at around 8:45 am on that day, the police seized 50,000 more stimulant tablets worth K35 million at local price hidden by Maung Tuu (aka) Tuu Gyi near Mae Sai creek in Yanaungmyay Ward of Tachilek. The offenders are being prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
