The Myanmar Press Council and Myanmar media conducted a five-day study tour to China from 23 to 27 April.

The Myanmar media delegation comprised five members from the Myanmar Press Council, SkyNet, Myanmar Insider, Swemyo Pauk-Phaw Magazine, and Monnet Group. The delegation visited the cities of Chengdu, Kunming, and Urumqi during the tour.

During the visit, the delegation held discussions with The Sichuan Daily and the Yunnan International Communication Centre for South and Southeast Asia on China–Myanmar media cooperation, news media development, and the promotion of bilateral friendship between the two countries.

In addition, the group visited the Huawei Chengdu Research Institute, the Xinjiang Museum, an agricultural exhibition park, the Guyuan Lane Community and the International Land Port in Urumqi. They observed developments in technology, agriculture, ethnic unity, and open-door policies in the western provinces of China.
