Vice-President U Nyo Saw received a delegation led by Mr Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, at the Presidential Palace Reception Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
They discussed strengthening existing diplomatic relations and friendship between the two countries, promoting multi-sectoral cooperation, including in the economic and energy sectors, increasing border trade and investment, enhancing cooperation between the two countries’ banks, maintaining peace and stability in border areas, and further cooperating to combat illegal border trade, online gambling, and financial fraud.
Also, present on the occasion were Union Minister U Tun Ohn, Central Bank of Myanmar Governor Dr Khin Naing Oo, deputy ministers and officials, as well as the Thai foreign minister’s adviser and delegation officials.
