CHAIRMAN of the Union Election Commission U Hla Thein received a delegation led by Mr Tony Banbury, President of International Foundation for Electoral System (IFES), at his office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During the meeting, they cordially discussed matters related to implementation of 2019- 2022 strategy for holding 2020 General Election successfully in accordance with the five norms of free, fair, transparent, credible and reflecting the will of people, conducting capacity building trainings for members and staff of election sub-commissions, programmes of election monitoring, cooperation on public and voter awareness programmes, and assistances in holding the general election successfully.
