SECURITY forces seized narcotic drugs and drugs-related materials worth over K 93 billion from 28 February to 4 March in northern Shan State, according to the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Office.
Military attaches from embassies in Yangon and media personnel flew to the the area in Kaungkha Village-tract in Kutkai Township yesterday by the Tatmadaw Plane and helicopters and observed the seizures.
Before visiting the area, Maj-Gen Toe Yi of the Defence Services (Army), Commander of the North-East Command MajGen Aung Zaw Aye and Police Col Zaw Lin of the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control detailed about the mission which seized the drugs.
In the afternoon, the military attaches and media personnel left Lashio for the Lwekham Village in Kaungkha Village-tract in Kutkai Township by helicopter and observed the seized narcotic drugs and precursors.
They arrived back Yangon in the evening, according to the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services.
