CHIEF Minister of Ayeywady Region U Hla Moe Aung held a meeting with Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Hla Kyaw on preparations for prevention of flood and other rural development programmes on 6 March.

The meeting at the head office of Ayeyawady Government discussed measures on the resistance of dams and dykes, and other infrastructural development programmes of rural road networks, water supply, electrification and people-centred projects in the region in 2020-2021 financial year.

At the meeting, the deputy minister inspected the water supply project jointly implemented by the Department of Rural Development and the Regional Development Committee with the ODA loan of Japan International Cooperation Agency.


He also looked into construction of rural road in Kandauntgyi Township and a 10-acre model agricultural farm developed by the broadcast seeder machine in Kankalay village-tract of Kyaunggone Township.
