The Myanmar Scout Association held a meeting last week to discuss its ongoing activities and future plans.
The meeting held at the YMCA hall in Yangon was attended by its Chief Commissioner Dr Tin Nyo, Deputy Chief U Thar Sein, senior members, officials from Region/State education offices and Rover Scout leaders from the universities.
They discussed the possible involvement of education officers in support teams of regional MSAs headed by chief ministers of local governments, establishing the shops and offices of the association and raising funds for these offices.
The attendees also made discussions on forming scout associations at schools, classifications of cab scout, scout and rover scout, creating badges for ranking, skill levels, possible conducting basic scout leadership course with the assistance of Asia-Pacific Scout Region and training courses for the trainers.
