TWO representatives from the Department of Public Health departed from Yangon for Brunei via Thailand by air yesterday to attend 12th ASEAN+3 field epidemiology training network supervisory committee meeting to be held in Bander Seri Begawan, Brunei from 22 to 24 November. The training network started in 2011 as a result of the 4th ASEAN Health Ministers meeting, and the steering committee of the training included representatives from 13 countries. The training network aims to cooperate among regional countries in infectious diseases, sharing experiences and information and providing training for enhancement of capacity of health workers and so on. In the meeting, they are going to discuss about digital health technology communication between countries, information sharing, infectious disease detection and surveillance and the effective use of healthcare services and vaccinations.
