FOUR Myanmar films – ‘Achit Hnint Hti Yin Kwyay’, ‘Hnin Si Pan Thu’, ‘A Hlae’ and ‘Lu Kaung Lay Yae Nat Thamee’ - have been selected for screening at cinemas across Myanmar from 2 April to 14 May, 2020.

The selection was made at the meeting of the Myanmar Film Screening Coordination Committee held once every six weeks. The committee is organized by Myanmar Motion Picture Organization. In addition, the films ‘Gangaw Ni’, ‘Lu Htae Ga Lu’, ‘Hnin Si See Chin’ and ‘Tha Ywee’ will be shown at cinemas of Mingalar Cinemas Group. Meanwhile, ‘A Soe Ma Ya Anouta’, ‘Leik Pyar Htaung Chauk’, ‘Kyar Hnint Sin’ and ‘Yin What Akhayar’ will be playing at JCGV cinemas and Mega Ace cinemas.

The twelve films contain movies that passed the censor board between 2017 to 2020 and were selected based on a combination of the quality of the film and movies that remained unselected from previous years.

There are currently 211 movie screens across the nation and Myanmar’s film industry is steadily improving.
