Myanmar is actively conducting the narcotics eradication operations in cooperation with the United Nations, neighbouring countries, ASEAN member states, countries in the Mekong region, member countries of the BIMSTEC, and international drug control organizations. As part of these efforts, Myanmar is carrying out the destruction of poppy fields, which is one component of the broader anti-narcotics campaign.

The Central Committee on the Prevention and Control of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Meeting 1/2025 was held yesterday at the Myanmar Police Headquarters.
