The second regular session of the Third Amyotha Hluttaw continued at its convention hall for the eighth day yesterday.

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing first replied to the questions raised by Sai Win Khaing from the Shan State Constituency 10, saying that if Citizenship Scrutiny Cards issued under a single citizen number are verified as having been correctly issued, the person listed in the issuance record will be confirmed as the rightful holder of that number. The other individual will be issued a new number.

Likewise, if one person has already used that CSC in documents, the person who has not yet used it will be issued a new number. If so, the new CSC will indicate the previous CSC number on the back, stating “previously held CSC number”, and the original number will be shown accordingly. The township officer will then verify and sign the confirmation.
If, in cases where two individuals have duplicate CSCs, it is found through verification that one of them was issued the number through fraudulent means, only the person confirmed to be legitimately eligible will be validated. Those involved staff members or related persons who issued the number to an ineligible individual will be punished in accordance with the Civil Service Law and regulations.

Deputy Minister for Transport U Aung Myaing answered the questions raised by U Khin Maung Htay from the Magway Region Constituency 7, stating that with regard to prevention of enforcement actions arising from expired vehicle and driver’s licences currently in use in Gangaw, Htilin, and Saw townships, instructions have already been issued on 18 May 2026 that the list of these licences must be sent to the General Administration Department, Gangaw District Office.
