A Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Education Dr Chaw Chaw Sein departed from Yangon on 22 June to attend the Global Sustainable Development Congress 2026 (GSDC 2026) in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The congress featured panel discussions, while international universities and educational institutions showcased their activities through exhibition booths.

During the congress, Union Minister Dr Chaw Chaw Sein participated in a discussion on the theme “Building Future Development by Cultivating Skilled Educators”. She emphasized that Myanmar is striving to provide quality, skills-based education and that, as education is the foundation of national development, the education budget is being increased to cultivate highly skilled and qualified educators.
