In spite of a thick fog enveloping the Yangon River in early mornings of late, jetties and shipyards are lined with passengers from Dala Township waiting to travel to Yangon for work by ferry. Therefore, Cherry Ferry operators are trying to start operations as soon as visibility increases.
“This morning, we could not see the way clearly because there was fog everywhere. So, we could not run four routes in the early morning and kept our water buses at the jetty. But, we started operations between 8 am and 8.30 am,” said an official from the Cherry Ferry.

Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) affimed its commitment to cooperaiton in clearing land mine in Myanmar, according to the meeting between the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, and the NPA yesterday.
The meeting between Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Win Myat Aye and a delegation led by the NPA’s Country Director Ms Marte Graff Jenssen held at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw.

Government officials and representatives of ethnic armed organizations signed in the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement concluded their three-day meeting yesterday in Yangon, reaching eight common agreements to implement the decisions of the 8th Joint Implementation Coordination Meeting on the NCA.
The meeting also discussed preparations for holding the 4th edition of Union Peace Conference-21st Century Panglong as scheduled within the first four months of 2020, peace procedures beyond 2020 and implementation processes.
