Martial Law Order No 1/2024

4th Waning of Tabodwe 1385 ME

28 February 2024

1. In order to effectively provide security, the rule of law and community peace, the State Administration Council has transferred the executive and judicial power (Martial Law) to the Commander of the Northern Command to exercise martial law in the following townships of Shan State under the Northern Command under Article 419 of the Constitution.

(a) Momeik Township

(b) Mabein Township

2. Depending on the changing situation in the region, the commander shall exercise Martial Law by himself or shall transfer the power to the regional military commanders.
