THE Myanmar Police Force has reported the seizure of illegal drugs, including methamphetamine (Ice), ketamine, Ecstasy, and Happy Water, with a combined value exceeding K5.7 billion in Tachilek Township, Shan State (East). Acting on a tip-off, a combined team, including members of the Anti-Drug Police Force, searched a house belonging to Janjaan in Tachilek Township at 5 pm on 14 December. The search resulted in the confiscation of 141 kilogrammes of methamphetamine (Ice), 23 kilogrammes of ketamine, and 128,000 Ecstasy tablets. Subsequent investigations led the police to the residence of Twan Long Phu, also known as Ah Hwa, the alleged owner of the seized drugs. A search of his house at 5:30 pm on the same day resulted in the arrest of Twan Long Phu and Twan Shikwan. Additional confiscations included two kilogrammes of Happy Water, 16,000 Happy-5 pills, and nine kilogrammes of Ecstasy. Legal action has been taken against offenders, and investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other individuals involved in the crime chain.
