MALICIOUS media outlets intentionally spread fake news, claiming that security forces arrested and killed one civilian in Kamma Township of Magway Region on 14 December, and torched Yaymyet village in Pakokku Township on 18 December.

According to a security official, security forces did not conduct security measures in the vicinity of Yaymyet village on 18 December and did not arrest nor kill any local of Kamma Township.

Subversive media outlets intentionally circulate false claims and misinformation as a propaganda campaign and mislead the public about security forces carrying out security duties.
