Ambassador-designate of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to Myanmar Mr Bounphieng Chanthavong presented his Credentials to State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing at the Credentials Hall of the Office of SAC Chairman in Nay Pyi Taw at 10:30 am yesterday.

At the discussion, they emphasized that due to using the friendship bridge, amicable relations between Myanmar and Laos will enhance friendly relations between the two countries and people.

They also exchanged views on the promotion of friendly ties and cooperation between Myanmar and Laos which are good neighbourliness, further enhancement of border trade, promotion of bilateral trade, expansion of direct flights between the two countries to develop tourism services, exchange of scholarship students, and plans to bilaterally exchange cultural troupes.

Also, present on the occasion were Council Joint Secretary Gen Ye Win Oo, Deputy Prime Minister, and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, and Director-General U Zaw Tun Oo of the Protocol Department.
