MALICIOUS media outlets intentionally spread false reports that Tatmadaw carried out an airstrike on 19 December in Myakantha and Htanpingon villages, Patheingyi Township, Mandalay Region, injuring one monk.

According to a regional security official, such news was invalid, and security forces conducted routine security measures in Patheingyi Township, and did not launch any airstrikes. Terrorists initiated the attacks using drones and heavy weapons in villages and wards. Subversive media outlets intend to circulate false claims and misinformation as a propaganda campaign and mislead the public about security forces carrying out security duties.
