Vice-Senior General Soe Win underscored that trainees come from various layers of society wear the same uniform, trained under the same colours, thoughts, beliefs, and principles according to their respective academies.

Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win yesterday afternoon met trainees from the People’s Military Service training course at the local training depot in Pathein, Ayeyawady Region.

Also present at the meeting were SAC Member Union Minister for Defence General Maung Maung Aye, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Htein Win, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung, the regional chief minister, senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and officials.

In his speech, SAC Member Union Minister for Defence General Maung Maung Aye explained the responsibilities of all citizens to serve military service, the systematic selection of eligible persons by the people’s military service sermonizing boards under the law, the need to apply military arts in the battlefields, loyalty for the State, and health and fitness for trainees.

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Senior General stressed that as soldiers, the trainees have to uphold loyalty to the nation and the Tatmadaw, remain faithful to their comrades, and stay committed to their families. Loyalty to the nation is demonstrated through the responsible and successful fulfilment of assigned duties.

These individuals are the nation’s valuable assets, respected heroes admired by their families, and expected to live with discipline and honour.

Individual trainees have to always uphold and safeguard the military code of conduct and discipline of a soldier to protect and maintain one’s dignity without degradation or loss.

Although they come from various layers of society and have taken up different responsibilities, they now wear the same uniform, trained under the same colours, thoughts, beliefs, and principles according to their respective academies.

As they embrace their military identity with pride, they are moulded into trustworthy and dependable citizens of the nation and the armed forces, capable of excelling in any duty assigned.
After the ceremony, the Vice-Senior General presented cash awards to trainees and cordially greeted them.
