Vice-Senior General Soe Win remarked that as trainees have recited four oaths by touching the State flag, they have to be loyal to the State, citizens and Tatmadaw members.
Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win yesterday morning met trainees from people’s military service training depots in Indaing Station of Yangon Region.
In the meeting with trainees, the Vice-Senior General underlined that as trainees have recited four oaths by touching the State flag, they have to be loyal to the State, citizens and Tatmadaw members.
He stressed that as the current situation is that both domestic and foreign saboteurs are engaged in various methods of infiltration and attack to cause disunity within the military, all must maintain unity and solidarity.
The Vice-Senior General highlighted that good discipline and obedience are of great importance in learning basic military training. Only when they obey orders will they successfully serve the assigned missions and duties with accomplishments, he added.
He continued to say that despite coming from different backgrounds, these trainees have been trained together with the same attitudes, perceptions, and concepts. They will proudly serve the defence duties of the State, joining hands with senior Tatmadaw members. As such, they must behave in a manner that earns the trust of both the State and the Tatmadaw, while also being dependable for their families, he noted.
The Vice-Senior General emphasized that the trainees have to uphold a concept that “Once a Soldier, always a Soldier” in their lives as a fine concept of Tatmadaw members while preserving fine traditions of Tatmadaw with loyalty to the State and Tatmadaw.
He underscored that as all people’s military servants who graduated from training depots have to continuously practise and apply military skills, they must strive to become valuable Tatmadaw members for the State, Tatmadaw and their families.
SAC Member Union Minister for Defence General Maung Maung Aye spoke on the occasion. He explained measures of giving training to trainees to apply military skills in preventing danger of destructionists, following orders and directives as a good Tatmadaw member in serving duties at assigned regiments and units, the importance of mental strength, loyalty to the State and Tatmadaw, and taking military training at relevant depots to apply these military techniques in battlefields effectively.
After the meeting, the Vice-Senior General presented gifts and cash awards to the trainees and cordially greeted them.
Also present at the ceremony were Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Htein Win, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung, Chief Minister of Yangon Region U Soe Thein, senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, Commander of Yangon Command Maj-Gen Zaw Hein and officials.
