To support relief and reconstruction efforts for those affected by the powerful earthquake in Mandalay, U Myat Oo and Daw Khin Oo’s family donated K50 million, while the Mandalay-based Red Shan Social Association contributed K15 million.

The donations were presented yesterday at the Department of Disaster Management (DMC) under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement. Union Minister Dr Soe Win received the contributions, expressed gratitude and presented certificates of honour in return.
