THE 23rd Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition (Central Level) continued at designated venues in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory yesterday.
Contestants from regions and states participated in the higher education level men’s uplifting prestige and integrity singing contest and amateur level (second class) women’s event at the Signing Room of the Myanmar International Convention Centre-II in Nay Pyi Taw.
The traditional dance contest without poem (first grade) was held at the Plenary Hall of the MICC-II and contestants from states and regions participated in it.
At MICC-II, contestants from states and regions participated in the Mon traditional dance contest.
The marionette play troupe contest took place at Yinkyayhmu Yadana Hall of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture. The marionette troupe representing Bago Region took part in the amateur level (first class) Ramayana event.
Contestants also joined the amateur level (first class) song composing contest at the same venue.
Likewise, contestants from regions and states competed in the amateur-level men’s (first class) Guitar contest, contestants in the higher education level men’s oboe contest, amateur level (first class) men’s contest, basic education level (aged 15- 20) men’s contest, amateur level (second class) men’s contest and basic education level (aged 10- 15) boys’ contest..
Contestants took part in the amateur-level (first class) men’s and amateur level (second class) men’s narration of religious and historical stories contests.
These events were watched by Union-level persons, deputy ministers and ethnic affairs ministers of religious and states and officials.
The performing arts competition successfully finished with more plans on the awarding ceremony and grand dinner to be held at the MICC-II in Nay Pyi Taw.
