THE 82nd Meeting of the ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation and related meetings were held on 19 and 20 October 2022 via videoconferencing. Myanmar National COSTI Chairman Permanent Secretary Dr Sai Kyaw Naing Oo attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed highlights of relevant high-level meetings’ outcomes, the status of funds and external partners’ funding/facility, the status of projects in cooperation with dialogue partners and subcommittees, implementation of priority projects of 2022 and projects to be implemented in 2023.
During the meeting, Myanmar as the ASEAN-China Country Coordinator discussed the cooperation projects between ASEAN and the People’s Republic of China regarding science, technology and innovation.
The meeting was also attended by officials from the ASEAN Secretariat, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, and Chairpersons of respective subcommittees from ASEAN countries and representatives from Dialogue Partners.
