The government, in collaboration with international organizations, including neighbouring countries, has been actively investigating and eradicating telecom fraud and other criminal activities. Foreign nationals involved in such activities have been systematically repatriated to their respective countries. In Kayin State, specifically in the areas of Myawady-Shwekokko, Maetawthalay, and KK Park, 283 foreign nationals who were involved in online gambling and online fraud have been repatriated to their home countries. Additionally, 357 other foreign nationals have been further investigated and detained.

Terrorist groups CRPH, NUG and their subordinate organizations and people intentionally attempted to affect the education system of the government. The NUG’s subordinate, the unofficial University of Medicine (Mandalay), created temporary medical degree certificates (counterfeit) and offered incentives to study in foreign universities. The students who believed them and applied to study in foreign countries are facing difficulties in attending as the universities do not accept their applications as their documents and degree certificates are illegal.

THE government is cracking down strictly on telecom fraud and criminal activities by cooperating with international countries, including neighbouring countries, and systematically deporting foreigners involved in these illegal activities. Authorities transported 214 Chinese nationals via the Myanmar-Thailand Friendship Bridge II on humanitarian grounds and for the sake of bilateral relations yesterday.
