MINISTRY of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, aiming to develop human resources and improve the capacity of staff, held the 28th ceremony of Friday Talk of Knowledge Sharing Programme-KSP at Office No 1, Nay Pyi Taw, yesterday, delivered the opening speech by Union Minister Dr Kan Zaw.
The Union minister emphasized that it is a topic of the “Poverty Reduction Programme in China and Developing Countries” that is required to understand all staff to apply in their respective fields. He also explained that the consistency of policies and continuous policy implementation for rural development and poverty reduction are the main important factors and highlighted the State Administration Council currently has laid down the policy priority for the socioeconomic development of the country. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the importance of labour, capital, and agricultural inputs also Total Factor Productivity-TFP for sustainable agriculture development of the country. The Union minister underscored that the lessons, experiences and challenges of rural development from China and developing countries are crucial points for the future country’s socioeconomic development so he encouraged the staff to actively participate and frankly discuss today’s Talk.
Daw Zar Li Nwe, Deputy Director from the Union Minister’s Office presented the topic with the title “Poverty Reduction Programme for Developing Countries” that was gained from the seminar which was supported by the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) Programme of the People’s Republic of China. Afterwards, attendees raised questions and openly discussed.
The ceremony was also attended by the deputy minister and nearly 120 persons of senior officials and relevant officials from states and regions via the hybrid system.
