UNION Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win of the Ministry of Health met the delegation led by Dr Md Monwar Hossain, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, at the ministry’s reception hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.

At the meeting, both parties had a friendly discussion on matters of promoting cooperation in the health sector of the two countries, global health issues such as epidemic prevention and response, universally accessible healthcare services, activities to solve the problem of antibiotic resistance, issues that the two countries can cooperate in, such as drowning prevention activities and so on, the status of preparing healthcare activities for accepting displaced persons, and issues regarding the registration and distribution of Bangladesh-produced drugs and medical products in Myanmar.
