Commemoration on 19 July 2024

1. The commemoration of the 77th Martyrs’ Day will take place at the Martyrs’ Mausoleum in Bahan Township, Yangon. From 4 am until the event concludes, the following roads will be closed on 19 July 2024:-

- West Shwegondine Road from old Yedashe Road

- Shwegondine Road from the Dhammazedi-Shwegondine intersection

- Martyrs’ Road from West Shwegondine to U Htaung Bo Road

- U Wizara Road from U Wizara Roundabout to the U Wizara-Dhammazedi intersection.

2. Additionally, Natmauk Road will be temporarily closed from the Wingaba intersection and from the Pho Sein intersection. Bogyoke Museum Road will be closed from the Ngahtetgyi Pagoda intersection and from the Saw Maha intersection. Bo Cho Road will be closed from the Shwe Kyat Yat intersection, 5 am to 6 pm on 19 July 2024.

3. During the flag-hoisting ceremony at the Secretariat from 5 am to 6 pm on 19 July, the following roads will be closed: -

- Theinbyu Road from Bogyoke Junction to Merchant Road intersection

- Anawrahta Road from Bo Myat Tun Junction

- Maha Bandoola Road from Pansodan Junction

- Bo Aung Kyaw Road from Merchant Junction.

4. The public is advised to use alternative routes during the commemoration event.
