“WE welcome this statement. In my opinion, the State will fill the vacant positions with formerly blacklisted staff. Those who were blacklisted will no longer need to hide and they will understand the goodwill of the State. They will live peacefully and happily. This statement is a win-win, and we welcome it,” said a retired person to The Global New Light of Myanmar (GNLM).

The Information Team of the State Administration Council released a statement on 12 July, urging blacklisted personnel to inform the relevant departments from 15 July.

In the statement, it was noted that some civil servants from Union-level organizations and Union ministries left their workplaces without permission due to various reasons, causing a loss of human resources for the State and affecting the social lives of stakeholders. To address these issues, employees will be removed from the blacklist based on the reasons for their absence.
