THE 23rd Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition (Central Level) continued at designated venues in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory yesterday.
Contestants from regions and states participated in the singing competition of the Promotion of Native Honour men’s amateur level (second level) event which took place at the Signing Room of the Myanmar International Convention Centre-II in Nay Pyi Taw.
The traditional dance contest was held at the Plenary Hall of the MICC-II and contestants from states and regions participated in it.
The marionette play troupe contest was held at Yinkyayhmu Yadana Hall of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture. The marionette troupe representing Ayeyawady Region took part in the amateur level (first class) event.
Contestants participated in the amateur level (first class) Ramayana drama event at the training theatre of the ministry.
Contestants also joined the higher education level song composing contest at Yinkyayhmu Yadana Hall of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture.
Likewise, contestants from regions and states competed in the amateur-level (first and second class) Oh Si (Myanmar tradition drums) at the training theatre of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture.
Contestants also took part in the amateur-level men’s (first class) Donmin contest, basic education level boys’ and girls’ (aged 10-15) events, amateur-level (second class) men’s contest, higher education level women’s contest and basic education level men’s (aged 10-15).
Then, contestants participated in the amateur-level (second class) men’s flute contest, basic education level men’s (aged 10-15), higher education level men’s, amateur-level (first class) men’s and basic education level men’s (aged 15 to 20) events.
Contestants from regions and states compete in the amateur-level (first class) men’s narration of religious and historical stories contest.
These events were watched by Union-level persons, deputy ministers and ethnic affairs ministers of regions and states and officials.
