AT the invitations of Mr Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and Mr Sergei Aleinik, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, a Myanmar delegation led by U Than Swe, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs left the Mandalay International Airport by the Myanmar Airways International (MAI) flight to Novosibirsk, the Russian Federation in the evening of 12 September 2023.

THE bilateral trade with neighbouring Thailand, Myanmar’s major trading partner among ASEAN, amounted to US$2.38 billion in the past five months (April-August) of the current financial year 2023-2024 by sea and at the border, the Ministry of Commerce’s statistics indicated.
