AT the press conference held at theNational Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday, Daw Saw Mra Raza Lin, the spokesperson of five NCA signatory EAOs, said that the NCA was signed by the President, two Vice-Presidents, the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, and representatives from eight EAOs. The national-level political dialogues were based on the NCA. The NCA approved by the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw is not just legal but also never annulled. Hence, the majority of NCA signatory EAOs will continue implementation of the NCA. They will hold peace talks until a State based on democratic and federal systems can be built. The talks focus on the participation of EAOs in building the Union based on democratic and federal systems. At present, the discussions emphasize holding the 8th anniversary of NCA which falls on 15 October with essence.
