THE campaign speeches of political parties participating in the multiparty democratic general election, scheduled to be held on 28 December 2025, will be broadcast at 7 pm beginning on 28 October, through MRTV HD, MRTV Parliament, and affiliated television channels, including MWD HD and MWD Variety HD, as well as on Myanmar Radio, Thapyay Radio, Thazin FM, and online platforms such as the MRTV App, Radio App, and other MRTV online platforms.

A special appeal tribunal consisting of Union Chief Justice U Tha Htay and Judges of Supreme Court of the Union: U Myo Tint, U Thaung Naing, U Win Myint and Daw Soe Khet Khet was convened Monday morning at the Supreme Court of the Union, and passed judgements for two special criminal appeal cases: 6/2025 (Mon) and 7/2025 (Mon), and four special civil appeal cases: 31/2025 (Mandalay), 32/2025 (Mandalay), 33/2025 (Kachin) and 34/2025 (Kachin) were heard. Additionally, a total of four special civil appeal cases: 16/2025 (Mandalay), 23/2025 (Yangon), 24/2025 (Shan) and 25/2025 (Mandalay) were heard.

MYANMAR authorities have detained 150 Indian nationals and one South Korean national who entered the country illegally and were involved in online gambling and fraud. The detainees, who crossed border routes via neighbouring countries, including Thailand, were apprehended in Kayin State’s Myawady-Maehtawthalay (KK Park) area.
