Pyidaungsu Hluttaw and Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker U Aung Lin Dwe received Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Abhay Thakur yesterday at the guest hall of the Amyotha Hluttaw in the Hluttaw Building in Nay Pyi Taw.

The Myanmar parliamentary delegation, led by Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw U Khin Yi, returned from attending the 2nd International Forum of the Union State, ‘Great Heritage Common Future’, held in Brest, Belarus. The delegation departed from Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand, at 7:15 pm local time on 24 June and arrived at Yangon International Airport at 8:15 pm.

A total of 206 out of 209 Hluttaw representatives attended the ninth-day meeting of the second regular session of the third Amyotha Hluttaw in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

The 12th day of the Second Regular Session of the Third Pyithu Hluttaw was held in Nay Pyi Taw on 22 June, with Deputy Speaker U Maung Maung Ohn presiding.

The Myanmar delegation, led by Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi, attended the 2nd International Forum of the Union State titled “Great Heritage – Common Future” in Brest, Belarus, yesterday. They were joined by Hluttaw Speakers from 17 countries and other high-level representatives. During the forum, Speaker U Khin Yi delivered a speech.

At the invitation of Mr Igor Sergeyenko, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Belarus, and Mr Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi, accompanied by officials from the Pyithu Hluttaw Office, departed Yangon on 19 June and arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand, at 9:25 am local time.

At the question-and-answer session, Nay Pyi Taw Council member U Aung Zeya replied to the question raised by U Thein Po of the NyaungU Constituency, saying that the estimated costs for excavating the water inlet channel of Kamma Lake, dredging the sand filtering pond, and removing silt from within the pond in Taungzin Village-tract, NyaungU Township, will be calculated on an annual budget basis. The project will be submitted for approval under the regional development (capital) fund for the 2027-2028 financial year and will be implemented accordingly.

Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi paid homage to an eight-member team led by Sayadaw Bhaddanta Ñanapala from the Yamanya Nikaya Monastery in Ye Township in Mon State on their trip to observe the convention of the ninth-day meeting of the second regular session of the Third Pyithu Hluttaw, at the guest hall of the Pyithu Hluttaw building yesterday morning.

The Pyidaungsu Hluttaw continued for the third day at its convention hall of the Hluttaw Complex in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning, attended by 552 out of 560 Hluttaw representatives.

Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi met members of the International Relations Committee at the Hluttaw Affairs Hall (I-5) yesterday, together with Deputy Speaker U Maung Maung Ohn and officials from the Pyithu Hluttaw Office.
