THE Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation has announced that 72,730 acres in Taungup Township, Taungup District, Rakhine State, have been designated as the “Myinmadan Protected Public Forest” as of 18 February 2026, under Notification 9/2026, issued in exercise of the powers conferred by Subsection (e) of Section 6 of the Forest Law promulgated in 2018.

Therefore, letters of invitation will be sent to the Region or State Hluttaw representatives to attend the Hluttaw session.

A special appeal tribunal consisting of Chief Justice U Tha Htay of the Supreme Court of the Union, and Daw Pyone Pyone Aye, U Win Myint, Daw Soe Khet Khet, Daw Thin Thin Cho, judges of the Supreme Court of the Union, was convened at the Zeyathiri District Court in Nay Pyi Taw, yesterday morning, and passed judgements for five special appeal cases Nos: 42/2025 (Yangon), 28/2025 (Kachin), 43/2025 (Ayeyawady), 45/2025 (Kachin) and 53/2025 (Yangon).
