1. President U Win Myint has received the final report of the Independent Commission of Enquiry (ICOE). The Commission was established by the Office of the President on 30 July 2018 to investigate the allegations of human rights violations in Rakhine during the internal armed conflict between Myanmar’s Defence Services and the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) in 2016-17.

1. At the invitation of U Win Myint, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, His Excellency Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, paid a State Visit to Myanmar from 17 to 18 January 2020.

2. President Mr. Xi Jinping and the Chinese delegation arrived at the Nay Pyi Taw International Airport by special flight in the afternoon of 17 January 2020. The President was welcomed by Vice President U Myint Swe, Union Ministers and responsible officials at the Nay Pyi Taw International Airport.

1. The President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar has confirmed the appointment of Dr Moe Swe, Director-General, Department of Traditional Medicine under the Ministry of Health and Sports on the expiry of one-year probationary period.

2. The President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar has appointed U Htay Aung, General Manager, Inland Water Transport under the Ministry of Transport and Communications as Managing Director of the same office on probation from the date he assumes charge of his duties.
