THE Ministry of Education has issued the following instructions as COVID-19 prevention measures for all matriculation examination centres in the whole country in coordination with the Ministry of Health Sports, and beginning from the date (11-3-2020) the exams commenced, all the centres have been observing the instructions.

THE Central Bank of Myanmar released Directive No. 1/2020 on amending the interest rates on 12 March 2020.
The new interest rates, which are aimed at boosting the country’s economy, will be effective from 16 March, 2020 instead of 1 April, 2020.

(a)There are currently no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar. The majority of patients, who have been tested, show no signs of severe symptoms and have been discharged from their hospitals.
(b)The Ministry of Health and Sports is emphasizing on protection and containment measures in the spirit of the motto, “Prevention is better than cure”, and against the virus that could possibly enter the nation at any time. The ministry aims to prevent a single citizen from contracting COVID-19 and for a zero-mortality rate.
