Malicious news media spread false reports claiming that security forces have raided villages at the edge of Launglon and Yebyu townships, Taninthayi Region, since January, causing residents to flee.

According to a local security official, security forces have been continuously conducting necessary security measures in the area to prevent insurgents from infiltrating and carrying out terrorist activities.

Subversive news media circulate such baseless reports, intending to mislead public perception of security forces, incite fear among the people and disrupt regional stability.
