THE State Peace Talks Team conducted the second-day meeting with the Karen National Liberation Army (Peace Council) KNU/ KNLA (PC) and the Democratic Karen Benevolent Army-DKBA delegations at the meeting hall of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.

The meeting was attended by SAC Member Union Minister at the Union Government Office Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Leader of the State Peace Talks Team Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and members: SAC Member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, NSPNC Secretary Lt-Gen Min Naung and DKBA Chief-ofStaff Saw Steel, Adjutant-General Saw Sein Win, KNU/KNLA (PC) Vice-Chair Dr Naw Kapaw Htoo and General Secretary Saw Kyaw Nyunt.

Attitudes from both sides on the prior meeting were discussed at the second-day meeting. Later, SPNC member LtGen Win Bo Shein put forward the studies on the agreements of Part I/II and III of the Union Accord to check whether they reconcile with the existing laws of the 2008 Constitution.

Then, the second-day meeting was adjourned after participants mutually discussed their views and opinions. It is learnt that the thirdday meeting will continue on 17 September.
