Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win inspected the healthcare services provided by the Nepali Tatmadaw emergency medical team at Yamethin District General Hospital in Yamethin District, Mandalay Region. During the inspection, the Union minister cordially comforted the out-patients and in-patients who were quake victims.

Following the severe earthquake on 28 March, Myanma Railways under the Ministry of Transport and Communications repaired damaged railway lines and bridges using manpower and machinery. Passenger and cargo trains, including container trains, resumed operations along the Yangon-Mandalay route starting on 5 April.

TERRORISTS attacked the RGC-125 train, which is used to inspect the Phyu-Toungoo railway section, between Nyaungchayhtauk and Kywepwe railway stations using small weapons from the side of the Yangon-Mandalay railway section yesterday, and no one was injured in the attack.
