COMPANIES permitted by the Central Bank of Myanmar to buy, sell, and exchange foreign currencies are subject to the Foreign Exchange Management Law. Owing to non-compliance with the foreign exchange management regulations and instructions issued by the Central Bank of Myanmar, CBM announced the revocation of money changer licences for 123 companies on 19 September.

MYANMAR National Airlines (MNA), a state-owned airline that currently operates passenger flights exclusively, initiated cargo flights using a Boeing 737-400 from Yangon to Thailand. This marked the airline’s inaugural cargo flight, which took place yesterday, aiming to expand air transport of goods.
